Bangladesh hit by an injury scare before their Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match against India, with skipper Litton Das picking up a back strain while training at the ICC Academy Ground on September 22. Details of the Litton Das' Injury The 30-year-old felt pain on the left side of his waist while trying a square cut in the nets following a long spell of fielding. He quit batting immediately, sat, and then lay down on the ground beside the nets. Team physio Bayezidul Islam and Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury rushed to him at once. A BCB official stated: “I don't think it's anything serious. We'll see,” Debashish told The Daily Star on Monday, indicating that further assessment would determine Litton’s availability. We will have a look at him (Litton) today because from outside he looks quite okay, but we need to conduct a medical assessment before making a final call.” Even though Litton did not seem to be in severe pain after the incident, his availability could prove to be a huge loss for Bangladesh. The team still has not announced a deputy captain for the tournament, which makes his possible absence even more burdensome.
