Bangladesh former captain Tamim Iqbal has given his opinion on how things have been going so far for Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India's cricket team. He took charge in July after Rahul Dravid who had led India to a decent win in the T20 World Cup. Gambhir's appointment had come after his success tenure as the coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, where he had taken them to an IPL win this year. In his first test match as the coach of India, India had defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs, dominating the match in Chennai last week. However, Tamim feels it's too early to comment on Gambhir's coaching style. Speaking in the pre-match briefing on Day 1 of the 2nd Test here, Tamim felt that Gambhir's real test will come when India suffers a couple of losses, and only then will his real character come out. On Sports18, Tamim said: "When you're winning, you don't know the real character of the man. It's only when you lose a series, then you lose another, that the real character comes out. No doubt, he is a capable man, but it's too early. Let India have a bad game, then we will see what comes out." Also Read | IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Bangladesh Fan 'Tiger Roby' Attacked During Match! Bangladesh was 74/2 at lunch, but the rain held up play after lunch. Immediately after the play resumed, Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. With some more rain, play came to a close for the day after 35 overs, where Bangladesh were at 107/3. Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim will take crease into Day 2, hoping to stay there far longer. India would look to bowl them out early.
