Team India received their biggest heart-breaking news when their ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah got ruled out of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 due to a back injury and Harshit Rana was added as his replacement in the squad. Despite missing their ace pacer, the Indian team is looking solid on papers and they will be one of the few contenders going into the tournament, believes the former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh feels that Jasprit Bumrah’s absence will be felt but the Indian team needs to be confident without him and they can win the tournament. Undoubtedly there is no bowler who can fill the shoes of Bumrah but the chosen bowling attack for the Champions Trophy will pose a threat to the other teams. Harbhajan Singh said: "I still believe India is the favourite in the Champions Trophy. (Jasprit) Bumrah is a big force, who can win matches. Even without Bumrah, there are a lot of experienced players like Arshdeep (Singh), (Mohammed) Shami, Kuldeep (Yadav) and (Ravindra) Jadeja.” He further revealed that batters are in great form and that would play a crucial role in the tournament. He added that the team will miss the experience of Jasprit Bumrah in the death overs but they need to learn to play without him if they want to big tournament. He added: "I think Bumrah's absence will be felt in the last couple of overs when the opposition will need a few runs with just two or three wickets in hand.
