Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga responded to a viral video in which Virat Kohli was found talking to Shakib Al Hasan on young pacer Hasan Mahmud. Kohli compared Mahmud's yorkers with Malinga's bowling spell. He was caught on camera saying, "Malinga bana hua, yorker pe yorker de raha hai, literally that he is bowling yorkers like Lasith Malinga.". This created quite a buzz in social media and even caught the attention of Malinga himself, who was prompt in his response with "Niyamai malli" (Great, brother). He had earlier smashed a six off the first ball he faced in the first innings. Kohli was dismissed by off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz. He did not review the decision although replays later showed that he would not have been dismissed. India declared their second innings at 287 for four, leaving Bangladesh a tough target of 515 to win. On day three, Rishabh Pant, back in Test cricket after 634 days since a car crash in December 2022, made a strong return with 109 runs. Shubman Gill also made notable appearances with 119 not out. And with this century, Pant equaled MS Dhoni's record for the most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper. Also Read | Shubman Gill's Century Breaks Kohli's Record; Takes No. 2 Spot in WTC Centuries
