India's cricket team spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been released from the squad amidst the ongoing T20I series between India and Australia. The five-match series is currently tied at 1-1, with Australia winning the second T20I in Melbourne, while the visitors secured a 5-wicket victory in Hobart on Sunday. Kuldeep, who participated in two of the three T20Is, has now been released from the squad to prepare for the upcoming Test series against South Africa at home. Kuldeep Yadav Released During IND vs AUS T20I Series According to a statement released by the BCCI, Kuldeep has been removed from the T20I squad to enable his participation in the second unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A. This second Test is scheduled to take place from November 6-9 at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, serving as the final preparation phase before the Test series against South Africa, which commences on November 14. With Kuldeep joining the India A team, it is almost certain that he will be included in the Indian squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa. Here is what BCCI said in a statement “The Indian team management has requested to release Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing T20I series in Australia to allow him to participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The second four-day match starts on 6th November,” In the longest format of the game, Kuldeep was last seen in action during the Test series against the West Indies at home earlier in October. He claimed 12 wickets in that series, finishing as India’s leading wicket-taker among spinners.
