A clinical chase led by Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru achieve their sixth away win in a row. Chasing 163, RCB achieved the target in 18.3 overs against Delhi Capitals, climbing to the top of the IPL 2025 Points Table with 14 points from 10 matches. Now RCB needs just one more victory to seal a playoff spot. Krunal Pandya really impressed with a great all-around show, bagging 1 for 28 and then scoring an unbeaten 73 runs from 47 balls. Though Virat Kohli eventually fell after a composed 51-ball effort for 47, the big blow came in the form of Tim David's explosive 19 off just five balls, comfortably wrapping up the chase for yet another away victory from home in the series for RCB. Kohli was about to respond, but with Axar Patel (2/19) having other ideas, RCB was put on the back foot early on with the dismissal of debutant Jacob Bethell (12) and Devdutt Padikkal (0) during the powerplay. But Krunal Pandya stood up when it was needed most. He was just 25 off 27 before the 12th over, but with every passing delivery, with increasing required rate, he accelerated. Until then, the only other scoring he did was off a four and a six. In the 13th over, everything changed as he hit Mukesh Kumar for two sixes. The next over was another big hit off Kuldeep Yadav with one more six as he reached his second IPL fifty first since 2016 against DC. The current recipient of the Orange Cap, Virat Kohli weighed anchor to perfection. The chase maestro, garnering actual worth for each of his over 3800 runs while chasing in IPL history, reached his 61st IPL fifty with 45 delicious balls. It was a bit of a slow one due to 10 dot balls, but he never allowed it to sleep and kept the scoreboard ticking, thereby giving little respite to the DC bowlers. Kohli went for 51 off 47 against Dushmantha Chameera, by when RCB required only 18 from 13. Tim David finished it off in style. Arun Jaitley Stadium Pitch Type: In general, the pitches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium are batting friendly with very short boundaries resulting in high-scoring matches last season; the average score reached 209. This Sunday, however, the pitch played rather differently, moving extremely slowly, making life difficult for the batters. Delhi had a good start in the powerplay. Despite Faf du Plessis not being at his very best in returning to a 26-ball 22, Abhishek Porel's stormy 11-ball 28 propelled DC to 52/2 after six oevers. From then on, it became tough to score. KL Rahul, with his 41 off 39 balls, tried hard but could not convert to a big score as Bhuvneshwar Kumar soon got him out. At the end of the 17th over, DC had crawled to just 120. Tristan Stubbs ignited that late spark! Coming in at number six in the 14th over, he counterattacked, hitting two boundaries off Josh Hazlewood in the 18th over and then knocking Yash Dayal to the fence on two occasions and over it once in 19. Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed two wickets in the last over, Stubbs' 34 off 18 balls propelled DC past 150. Against spin, DC could make only 50 runs in eight overs, losing only one wicket. Against pace, they scored 111 runs but lost six wickets, at a run rate of 9.25.
