The star Indian batter Virat Kohli is struggling with his batting form, but his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma believes that he will get back his mojo in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. With the global tournament starting on and form February 19, Rajkumar sounds confident on his disciple's calibre, and hopes to deliver the best. Speaking on the sidelines of the Restaurant Cricket League in Delhi, Rajkumar Sharma waves off all concerns regarding Kohli's form, firmly claiming that a match or two shouldn't justify a player's touch. He said, "Just because some matches went bad does not mean the player is out of touch. When you look at his previous records, you will see what he did for the country. I believe that he will be performing like the champion player he always has been." Kohli's struggles were prominent since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Despite the century at Perth, he gathered some 90 runs in the rest of the 8 innings. Funny enough, he was dismissed in the same manner in all eight- coming on the front foot and trying to nick a fifth or seventh stump ball. In the ODI series, he played two matches— the second and the third. The second one registered five runs, while the last one saw a century to much relief! Virat Kohli has been exceptional in the Champions Trophy, scoring 529 runs in 13 matches at an outstanding average of 88.16 and a strike rate of 92.32. He has registered five half-centuries, with his highest score of 96* in the 2017 semi-final against Bangladesh. Notably, he played crucial unbeaten knocks of 81* and 76* against Pakistan and South Africa. As India begins its campaign on February 20, Kohli remains a key player.
