KL Rahul, who has ended ties with his previous team, the Lucknow Super Giants, has posted a heartfelt note on his Instagram account thanking the fans, coaches, and teammates. KL has been with LSG since its Day 1 and has led in all three seasons—2022, 2023, and 2024. He took the team to the playoffs in the 2022 and 2023 seasons but fell short at the Eliminators. In 2024, Rahul was seen in a heated chat with LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka, that had speculated that they would release him for the 2025 season. After that, Lucknow retained Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, and Ayush Badoni. KL left for Delhi Capitals after winning a bidding war against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders. In his Instagram account, KL wrote, "Grateful to the coaches, teammates and the fans who made this journey with LSG unforgettable. Thank you for the trust, memories, energy and unwavering support. Here’s to new beginnings!"
