Chandrakant Pandit, head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) casts affirmation that all-rounder Sunil Narine has completely recovered from his ailment and has been made eligible for the upcoming tie at the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Mumbai Indians (MI). This battle is set for Monday, March 31, at Wankhede Stadium, during which MI will hold the very first home match of the season. Narine, who had since the year 2020 not missed a match in the IPL, sat out KKR's most recent game with an illness, marking the first game he has missed since the streak started. Veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali was brought in as a replacement for Narine during KKR's impressive eight-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati. Up until now, Narine played only once in IPL 2025 and made certain contributions with bat and ball, scoring a quick-fire 44 while also giving away 27 runs for a wicket taking KKR down heavily against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens. Pandit confirmed that Narine is now "100 percent fit" and has practiced with the team ahead of the critical clash with MI. Over the years, Narine has been a trump card against MI with 26 wickets in 23 games for a brilliant average of 23.35 on an economy of just 6.81. "Sunil is 100% fit. He has definitely recovered well and he's been practising since yesterday. Today he is practising as well so he is absolutely fine at the moment," Pandit said during the pre-match press conference."
