India A pacer Khaleel Ahmed bowled a scorching spell on Day 3 of the second unofficial Test match between India A and the England Lions in Northampton. The left-arm pacer took four crucial wickets within the first session and put the home side in deep trouble. His spell got India A the upper hand in the game after an eventful Day 2. England Lions started Day 3 at 192/3 after a good batting performance on the first day. But Khaleel began the day with passion and aggression. His first wicket was achieved early when he got rid of Jordan Cox, who was caught by wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. Cox had scored 45 runs before being removed by Khaleel's quick delivery. The early wicket provided India A with the breakthrough they were seeking. Khaleel struck again soon. He dismissed James Rew, who drove the ball to the slip cordon, where Karun Nair grabbed a simple catch. That left England five wickets down and in a precarious situation. Khaleel did not let up as only a few minutes after that, he clean bowled Josh Hill with an immaculate delivery, getting rid of him for a golden duck. Hill had nothing to do with the ball and was thoroughly beaten by the swing and the pace. It was Khaleel's third wicket of the session. Also Read | Will BCCI Ban RCB from IPL 2026?
