Out of 173 players listed for KCL - 3, franchises decided to retain 17, leaving 156 players to be divided into three categories: A, B, and C. Each franchise had a budget of ₹50 lakh and could assemble a squad of 16 to 20 players. The bidding was fierce, leading to some eye-catching deals. Sibin Gireesh topped the charts as the most expensive player, joining the Alleppey Ripples for ₹11.80 lakh. Calicut Globstars secured Krishna Devan for ₹11.20 lakh, while veteran Sachin Baby became the third-highest purchase, with Alleppey Ripples bringing him on board for ₹10 lakh.
