Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran has earned a spot among the 14 members of Telangana Sports Policy. The board is under the part of the Telangana Sports Policy in the field of sporting development. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled the same at the inaugural Telangana Sports Conclave held in Hyderabad. There are several goals related to the policy, including establishing greater opportunities in sports, developing improved facilities, and assisting sportsmen in progressing from the ground level to the global stage. The policy would be beneficial for Telangana sports persons to win medals at the international level and even at the Olympics in the future. A Board of Governors has also been constituted to oversee the use of the Telangana Sports Development Fund. Daughter of Sun Group head Kalanithi Maran, Kavya is also among the youngest on this panel. She is usually seen cheering SRH on from the stands during the Indian Premier League (ipl). She comes from a renowned family background. Her grandfather, Murasoli Maran, was a prominent politician and a key figure in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). Her uncle, Dayanidhi Maran, has been elected to the Lok Sabha four times from the Chennai Central constituency and has also held the position of Union Minister. As far as Indian sports business is concerned, Kavya is viewed as among the most powerful women out there. Her father Kalanithi Maran is one of India's wealthiest businessmen. His net worth is approximated at INR 25,000 crore.
