Virat Kohli, who is featuring RCB for the 18th year, arrived in his kingdom on March 15. BCCI has granted some rest for the Champions Trophy members before joining their respective IPL teams. Though he started slowly with a modest outing against Bangladesh, he roared back to form with a brilliant century against Pakistan. The Indian batter continued his dominance, smashing 84 runs in the semi-final against Australia. With the Champions Trophy behind him, Kohli now shifts focus to the IPL. As the tournament’s all-time leading run scorer, he will be eager to defend the Orange Cap he clinched last season. Virat Kohli’s IPL journey is nothing short of sheer class, consistency, and adaptability. He has amassed 8004 runs in 252 matches, setting benchmarks for others to follow. However, his 2016 season will still be etched when he used to open the innings and piled up 973 runs with four centuries, which remains the highest-ever tally in a single edition.
