Karun Nair made a stunning direct hit to pop the batting momentum of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Sunday. The Delhi Capitals batter ran out Rajat Patidar during an IPL 2025 clash at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Just one stump was in sight, and the 33-year-old had crookedly sharp accuracy to land the devastating blow in the visitors' side. Mukesh Kumar bowled the fourth over and got the run out. Patidar had begun the over with a boundary, standing at the non-striker's end as Kohli flicked a good length ball towards mid-wicket. Kohli, who cramped his way into the crease for a quick single, left him short as Nair's direct hit found him wanting at the non-striker's end. Flying in to substitute Phil Salt, Bethell managed to clobber a six and a four for his 12 runs before he was dismissed, and Padikkal went back for a naught. Nair also took the catch that dismissed Bethell. The RCB won the toss at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and opted to bowl first, with Patidar stating that the pitch would remain even throughout the match. The Capitals started steadily but lost momentum in the middle overs with Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma applying the brakes. Pandya, in particular, dismissed Faf du Plessis, who scored only 22 off 26 balls with just two boundaries.
