Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have announced officially that Justin Langer will remain the head coach of the team prior to the IPL 2026 season. The RPSG Group, owned by Sanjiv Goenka, made the announcement, along with unveiling new signings in their support staff, such as Kane Williamson as strategic advisor and Carl Crowe as spin-bowling coach. Since their entry into the IPL in 2022, Lucknow Super Giants have come third in their inaugural season and are again following that up with success in 2023. The previous two seasons, though, have been less than successful, with the franchise coming seventh in both 2024 and 2025 under the Australians' leadership. In spite of the decline in performance, LSG's administration has decided to stick with Langer for the long haul. Langer, who came on board LSG in 2024, has injected a good work ethic and discipline, something he was renowned for when he used to coach Australia.
