Australia's strategy for the forthcoming three-match T20I series with New Zealand has been disrupted by yet another setback with wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis ruled out by a right calf strain. Inglis sustained the injury during a run session at Perth, and scans verified that he would be missing all three games at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, to be played from October 1 to 4, 2025.   The selectors have added Alex Carey as a replacement. Carey was to play for South Australia in their Sheffield Shield season opener against Western Australia on October 4 but will instead join up with the national team to share wicketkeeping responsibilities.   Commenting on the blow, Inglis stated to cricinfo:   "t's an ongoing thing. It's sort of been around for a couple years now. For me, it's been really frustrating. It's not been something that's really kept me out of the game."   He further added:   "It's just something I've got to manage. So at the minute, I'm not really able to bat as much as I'd like, so I'm not able to spend the time in the nets to be able to work on new things."   Also Read | Will Pat Cummins play the 2025 Ashes?
