The Jharkhand High Court has punished the former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni with a legal notice over a business deal case as reported by PTI. The case was filed by Dhoni’s former business partners Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das. MS Dhoni’s former business partners Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das are the directors of Aarka Sports and Management Ltd, and they had signed an agreement with the former India captain to open cricket academies using his name. In his complaint, he claimed that the two individuals kept opening cricket academies under his name despite him withdrawing their authorization in 2021. The former CSK captain asserted that he suffered a financial loss of ₹15 crore due to their actions. Diwakar and Das approached the high court, contesting the judicial magistrate’s decision in Ranchi to take cognizance of the matter against them. As quoted by TOI, he said: “I think they will bid for me again. I would like to don the yellow jersey again and if not that, then I would want Rajasthan Royals to bid for me.”
