Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma preferred to lead a calmer life in London, removed from the constant limelight that they are subjected to back home in India. The couple only provides very occasional peeks into their lives on social media and returns to India mostly for work commitments. In a recent interview, cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues shared her unforgettable encounter with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma in New Zealand. In an interview with Mashable India, Jemimah expressed that she and Smriti Mandhana first thought of meeting Kohli to gain some tips on batting. They then met him at a café in the team hotel, where Anushka joined them as well. She remembered: "He actually told Smriti and me that you both have the power to change women’s cricket, and I can see that happening." The informal encounter became a lengthy chat that lasted close to four hours. Jemimah added: "It felt like a few long-lost friends who met and spoke. The only reason we stopped was because the café staff kicked us out." Also Read | When Did India Last Play Without Kohli and Rohit in a Multi-Nation Tournament?
