India's most valuable player right now, Jasprit Bumrah, is yet uncertain for the Champions Trophy. However, his name might be added to the provisional list being subjected to fitness. Bumrah presently has been asked to visit the National Cricket Academy (NCA) by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A BCCI source has informed India Today that Bumrah will undergo a rehab in NCA and will hopefully get better. However, his selection will still be uncertain. The source anonymously said, "Since he is injured and will report to NCA for his rehab. As of now, we are hoping that he will be fine soon but not very sure about it as far as his selection is concerned. Selectors will take the call, but sources indicated that he will be in the provisional squad as subject to fitness addition. A final call will be taken soon."
