In a turn of events, Indian management has decided to rest Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming third and final Test against New Zealand, allowing the star pacer some much-needed recovery time before the important tour of Australia. Bumrah will not feature in the final Test, scheduled to start this Friday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. His absence comes after India has already lost the series, suffering defeats in the first Test in Bengaluru and the second Test in Pune. As quoted by The Indian Express, a source said: “He won’t be playing the Mumbai Test and has flown back home. The Indian team management wanted him to take some rest so that he could recover his body. He will now join the Indian team when the team departs for Australia,” a source informed the national daily.” It seems probable that Mohammed Siraj, who sat out the second Test, could take Bumrah's place for the upcoming third Test. Jasprit Bumrah has fallen out of form and lost his bowling rhythm, causing him to drop from the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test bowlers' rankings. He has been overtaken by Kagiso Rabada, who is currently delivering an impressive performance against Bangladesh.
