In the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, which took place on April 27 against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium, Jasprit Bumrah made history. He is now the bowler with most wickets for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, surpassing Lasith Malinga. Bumrah was brought in as an impact replacement after Mumbai Indians completed their first innings. In his first over, he bowled four dot balls and on the fifth delivery, he dismissed the LSG opener Aiden Markram for 9. Prior to this match, Bumrah and Malinga both had same wickets to their name (170), but this wicket took Bumrah past Malinga to become the top wicket-taker of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He did this in his 139th innings. Lasith Malinga ranks second on the list, followed Harbhajan Singh in third, McClenaghan in fourth, and Kieron Pollard in fifth. Also Read | Who is Corbin Bosch?
