The Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series is just a few days away and both India and Australia have almost concluded their preparation for the series. On one side, where the Australian side is giving their best to trap the Indian players in the mind games, Jasprit Bumrah, who will be captaining the side in Rohit’s absence during the Perth Test, is also not shying away from combat with the verbal plans. He is going to play a crucial role in the upcoming BGT series. Ahead of the Perth Test match, Jasprit Bumrah spoke to the press conference and also discussed some key strategies to tackle the Australian team. In a conversation with 7Cricket, he said: “Self-belief matters the most in any condition. When you focus on yourself and focus on your preparation, that puts you in a great position and everything else will take care of itself.” Jasprit Bumrah has played a vital role in the last two BGT series wins in Australia. He has played 7 Test matches on Australian soil so far and has clinched 32 wickets with an average of 21.25 including a fifer. Jasprit Bumrah will be captaining the side in the Perth Test match which is scheduled to start on November 22. Furthermore, India will also miss the services of Shubman Gill who suffered a thumb injury during the intra-squad match between India and India A players at the WACA stadium. Devdutt Padikkal is likely to replace him in the first Test match.
