Jasprit Bumrah hit a major milestone on Day 2 of the first Test between India and Bangladesh in Chennai. He became the 10th Indian bowler and the sixth fast bowler to take 400 wickets in international cricket, with Hasan Mahmud being his 400th wicket. Bumrah continued his excellent form at home, taking three wickets in the first two sessions on Friday. He got his first wicket by bowling out Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam and later dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmud in the second session. Jasprit Bumrah has so far taken 162 wickets in Tests, 149 in ODIs, and 89 in T20Is. He is a part of the elite group of Indian fast bowlers, comprising Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami, when he is just 30. He entered in this elite list on crossing the 400-wicket mark in his 227th innings of international cricket. Now he is one of the top bowlers and the best all-format bowler for the game. Although he started off being a white-ball specialist after his initial success in the IPL, Bumrah eventually became India's No.1 bowler for the Tests.
