Indian star bowler Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to take 200 Test wickets, taking Travis Head as his milestone wicket. In the second ball of the 34th over, Bumrah gave a short-of-length around the wicket delivery angled to the batter, which Head tried to flick but got caught to Nitish Reddy at the square leg. The ball climbed sharply, catching Marsh’s glove, and Rishabh Pant made no mistake behind the stumps. In his next over, that in the 36th over, he came and took Alex Carey for 2 with a back-of-length delivery from around the wicket. With that, Bumrah became fourth quickest to 200 Test wickets in terms of deliveries (8484), having the best average for any bowler with 200 wickets. In terms of bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah is the joint second fastest Indian alongside Ravindra Jadeja to get 200 wickets in the 44th Test. Ravichadran Ashwin, the recently retired veteran spinner has been the fastest one to achieve the feat on his 37th Test.
