The Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal has been denied anticipatory bail, as the Jaipur court could not find any evidence in his defense in the minor's luring case. A special POSCO court has rejected Dayal's plea, saying none of the evidence given has proved that Dayal has been falsely accused. According to the prosecutors, the investigation might be affected if Dayal has been granted the bail. As per a report from NDTV, Judge Alka Banhsal of the Jaipur Metropolitan Court is looking after the case, and government lawyer Rachna Maan is fighting for the complainant. What were the accusations? Yash Dayal has been accused of two assaults, with one from a minor girl in Jaipur. The first case was from a woman in Ghaziabad who accused him of giving false marriage hopes after five years of relationships. Later, Dayal was accused of sexually assaulting her repeatedly over a period of two and a half years in hotels in Jaipur and Kanpur, luring her with promises of a cricket career. The court is now thoroughly examining the complaints, especially from the minor, and is looking at the chats, call records, photos, and videos in the minor's phone as a part of the evidence under the POCSO Act. Dayal has always been with her in public. Not only that, Dayal's defense claimed that she was believed to be an adult even though Dayal never met her alone. Further, his defense claimed that the minor has financial restraints, due to which Dayal helped her financially. It added that the minor asked for more money later, implying a motive of financial extortion, something Dayal did in the Ghaziabad case's defense too. Dayal, in his petition, termed the allegations false and claimed he was being harassed and framed, assuring full cooperation with the investigation. Opposing this, government lawyer Rachna Maan said the accused lured the minor with false promises linked to her cricket career and established physical relations, stressing that a minor’s consent holds no legal validity.
