The Australian cricket team claimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 long years by defeating the visitors 3-1 in the highly voltage series. The series kicked off with India winning the Perth Test, but the hosts made sure not to give away even a single game since then. They won the Pink-Ball Test at Adelaide, drawn the Gabba Test, followed by successive wins at MCG and SCG. The series saw some young names from both the teams making their Test debut. One such name from Australia, Sam Konstas, was the highlighted player in the series since his debut, not only for his play, but also for his actions on the field with the Indian players. The 19-year-old impressed everyone with his fearless batting against the most celebrated bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He smashed the pacer for boundaries with both conventional and unorthodox shots. But what proved to be a double-edged sword was his tussle with Jasprit Bumrah. He instigated Bumrah on Day 1 of the last Test and in response, the pacer dismissed Usman Khawaja on the final delivery of the over and celebrated like anything in front of Sam Konstas who was standing at the non-striker's end. Recently, the batter revealed that it was him who enraged Bumrah and that made him face the incident. Konstas said: “Oh, I didn’t get too fazed. Unfortunately, Uzi got out. He was trying to buy some time a little bit." He added: “It was probably my fault, but it happens. It’s cricket. Credit to Bumrah. He got the wicket, but obviously great performance from the team."
