Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan is gearing up for the Australia A tour. BCCI has selected the left-hand batter after his brilliant form in the red-ball domestic tournament. Ishan Kishan who is not a part of the senior Indian cricket team will now be playing for India A and eyeing a comeback. For the first time in nearly a year, the BCCI has reconsidered Kishan for a spot on the Indian team. Up until December 2023, Kishan was a central part of their plans. However, after taking a break and heading to Dubai, Kishan found himself in hot water with the BCCI, which ultimately led to his exclusion from the central contract. Recently, in an interview with the Times of India (TOI), Kishan addressed the backlash, saying that online trolling is something every sportsperson faces and should learn to handle. As quoted by TOI, Ishan Kishan said: "I Feel negativity will be there on social media. People will troll you if you don't do well and that is very normal. I feel every sportsperson should accept that this is going to happen and you shouldn't make a huge fuss about it. I feel you should enjoy that also because, at the end of the day, you know that when you perform then the same set of people will praise you also. That happened with Hardik also. People were trolling him also but he just did his work, performed well in the World Cup and now you can see the result. So this is how it should be... negativity will be there but you have to find that neutral point so that you take everything in a very sporting way.” Ishan Kishan further said that facing online trolls for a youngster like him is a really big thing but he never runs away from facing hardship. He said: “You can't control social media. Jo bhi chalega... it's okay. I feel you don't have to get too much into this social media also. When I speak to younger guys who are getting into big teams, I tell them the same thing to please try and be away from social media.”
