The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are clearly on a roll with their changes, and it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. Owned by Sanjiv Goenka, the franchise has already made some big moves in their management, bringing in Kane Williamson as a strategic advisor and Bharat Arun as their bowling coach. Now, the latest buzz is that LSG is reportedly in talks with Yuvraj Singh to step in as head coach ahead of IPL 2026.    According to InsideSport, the two-time World Cup champion has been chatting with the franchise, which is keen on having an Indian coach at the helm. It seems Justin Langer hasn’t quite clicked with the local players, leading the management to consider a change. If this deal goes through, it could be one of the most significant coaching shifts in IPL history.    While Yuvraj isn’t currently tied to any professional team, he’s been busy mentoring young talent. His work with players like Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma is well-known, as both have blossomed into world-class batters. He is also been guiding up-and-coming players like Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, continuing his mission to nurture the next wave of Indian cricketers.   Also Read | Why India and Australia Wear Black Armbands in Women's WC Semi-Final?   This isn’t the first time Yuvraj has been linked to an IPL team. Last season, there were whispers about him taking over from Ashish Nehra at Gujarat Titans (GT), and he was also considered by Delhi Capitals (DC) as a potential successor to Ricky Ponting, although Hemang Badani eventually landed that role.    Since their debut in the IPL in 2022, LSG has had a bit of a mixed bag making it to the playoffs in their first two seasons but finishing seventh in the following two. Their frequent changes in support staff reflect this inconsistency. After Gautam Gambhir and Morne Morkel, Langer’s stint in 2024 didn’t bring the desired results, with Zaheer Khan reportedly handling most local coordination before leaving after just one season.    Now, with Bharat Arun and spin coach Carl Crowe on board, LSG’s setup looks quite seasoned. However, their biggest hurdle remains managing an injury-prone Indian pace attack Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and others will need to step up.
