Donovan Ferreira yet again proved his worth as one of the finest finishers in the Indian Premier League 2026. He played a brilliant late innings for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. The South African all-rounder walked in during the death overs and smoked an unbeaten 47 off just 14 balls which propelled Rajasthan to a total of 225/6. The innings contained six sixes and had a strike rate of over 300 and changed Rajasthan's 225 to a 225. The South African who was bought for Rs. 1 crore, is turning out to be one of the most important players for Rajasthan this season and his late fireworks have been key to Rajasthan's campaign. Ferreira’s Numbers Back his Impact Ferreira's numbers in IPL 2026 thus far have been one of consistent performance. In 9 games he has amassed 229 runs at a strike rate of 177.51 and average of 45.80. He has also recorded two fifties and played a couple of handy cameo knocks at the end which ended as a match-winning for his side. The defining part about his role in the Rajasthan lineup is that he is often coming in during the death overs where he still carries that remarkable strike rate and finishing the innings for his side. However, what makes Ferreira’s innings so significant is the situations in which he has performed. So, it's too early to label Ferreira as the best finisher of IPL 2026 but he has definitely made it to the race. With such form, he will be a guaranteed finisher by the end of the season.
