Notably, Italy have their first ever player, Thomas Jack Draca, in the IPL auction pool. Here is a list of countries and the number of players registered in the auction. Country Players Registered South Africa 91 Australia 76 England 52 New Zealand 39 West Indies 33 Afghanistan 29 Sri Lanka 29 Bangladesh 13 Netherlands 12 USA 10 Ireland 9 Zimbabwe 8 Canada 4 Scotland 2 Italy 1 UAE 1 Indian players to look at during the auction This year, the auction will see IPL captains in the auction pool. Names like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and the IPL-winning captain Shreyas Iyer will be there at the auction bid. Iyer led KKR to win their third IPL title after 10 years. Yet the management decided to move on without him, retaining players like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana. Not so similar case, but rumours stated that KL turned down lucrative offers from the LSG agreement. If it is an outcome of the verbal duel with Sanjiv Goenka in the last season, or if he genuinely wants to test his market values, is still a gloomy question. Delhi Capitals too didn't sign Rishabh Pant for the coming session. With his standout performance in the last test series against New Zealand, it is a certain fact that the franchises will eye him. Pant, who led the team to the semis last year, seemed to have some disagreement with the new arrangement with the team. Even if DC bids for him, it is a matter of question if Pant will don their jersey or not. Purse details Punjab Kings, who had mistakenly bought Shashank Singh in the last season, is one of the only two retensions for the 2025 season. The other name is Prabhsimran Singh. Quite naturally, Punjab will enter the auction hall with a massive purse of INR 110.50 crore. Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals are in the second and third positions, having INR 83 crore and INR 73 crore, respectively. Rajasthan Royals has the lowest purse value, of INR 41 crore.
