Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings are reportedly close to finalising a major trade ahead of the 2027 edition of the Indian Premier League, with Hardik Pandya potentially joining the Punjab-based franchise in exchange for Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod. According to a report in Sportstar and The Hindu, the two franchises have made significant progress in talks and senior management are said to have agreed to the deal. This could make it one of the biggest trades in the history of the Indian Premier League. The deal is expected to be finalised by the IPL officials, and an official announcement could come later this week. With the November 17 retention deadline fast approaching, both franchises have little time to finalise their squads. Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings Close to Hardik Pandya-Arshdeep Singh Trade Punjab Kings have renewed their attempt to sign Hardik after an initial approach from a senior MI official. They are said to be willing to let Arshdeep Singh, one of India's best T20 fast bowlers, as a part of the deal. Along with the pacer Arshdeep Singh, Vishnu Vinod will also be moving to Mumbai Indians in exchange for Hardik. However, Punjab Kings were not the only franchise interested in the Indian all-rounder. Mumbai also spoke to at least three teams, including Kolkata Knight Riders. The only other team to make significant progress in talks with Mumbai were KKR. The Kolkata-based franchise explored a potential multi-player trade involving Hardik. Reports also suggest that the three-time champions offered the captaincy role to the all-rounder.
