Amidst the jubilant celebrations of Sunrisers Hyderabad winning against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2026, there was a special gesture that stole everyone's attention. After the victory at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH owner Kavya Maran was approached by a fan who gifted her a rose, to which she had smiled, accepted and simply said "thank you", a video of which immediately became viral. This was after Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded a comprehensive all-round performance as they hammered Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs to end the latters' winning run. It was a big victory and as such, SRH's dugout was full of celebrations with the captain Ishan Kishan being flanked by the young pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain. Pat Cummins Set for IPL 2026 Comeback on April 17 Hinge, Hussain Shine After Kishan's Blistering Knock Earlier in the match, Ishan Kishan led the charge with a whirlwind 91 off only 44 balls, in which he smashed eight boundaries and six sixes, a masterclass against pace and spin as SRH notched up a mammoth 216 for 6. Kishan brought up his fifty in 30 deliveries and looked good for a three-figure score before falling short. The SRH skipper was aided well by the wicket keeper batter Heinrich Klaasen (40), and late handy contribution from Nitish Kumar Reddy (28). A last minute impetus from Salil Arora propelled SRH to beyond the 200 mark.In reply, Rajasthan Royals faltered against a fiery SRH bowling performance. Debutant pace duo from SRH impressed a great deal as Praful Hinge registered the feat of becoming the first ever bowler in the Indian Premier League to claim three wickets in the first over itself. He dismantled the opposition with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for a duck followed by Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius. Hinge picked 4/34. Sakib Hussain was not behind either as he picked 4/24 that included the scalps of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer and Ravi Bishnoi. RR's Fightback Ultimately Falls Short Having reached five wickets down inside just three overs, even captain Riyan Parag could not provide any resistance, while a 118 run partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira brought about a little bit of resilience from the Rajasthan Royals, and Ferreira brought up his fifty from a mere 31 deliveries, however the partnership was broken and Rajasthan Royals were eventually bowled out for 159 in 19.1 overs. This victory takes Sunrisers Hyderabad to their second win in their first five matches this season and takes them up to 4th place in the table of points standings, and all the while their risky call to play two debutante pace bowlers payed off in this match winning victory.
