Delhi Capitals registered their highest chase of IPL 2026 as they successfully chased a massive 226 against Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Their highest chase in IPL history was all about control, calmness and grit displayed by Delhi in a nerve-wracking chase. Chasing 226, Delhi Capitals were clear with their intention as they maintained the required rate with their power packed batting. Pathum Nissanka was the aggressor in chief as he powered his side to a flying start, a score of 62 of just 33 deliveries, scoring 70 in the powerplay. KL Rahul then carried on from there, with a classic skipper's innings of 75 off 40 deliveries, mixing attack with defence to keep the chase on the course. Top Order Sets Up Record Chase Rahul was well supported by Nitish Rana, who struck at a rate of 33 off 17 balls, adding some quick runs in the middle phase and maintained the pressure even after a couple of wickets falling in between. With the help of some brave hitting from Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma, Delhi completed the chase of 226 with five balls to spare as the Axar Patel-led side won the game by 7 wickets. It was captain Riyan Parag who guided his team in this massive innings with his flamboyant 90-run inning which took 50 balls. He was followed by the 42-run effort by Dhruv Jurel before the explosive Donovan Ferreira took the charge with his spectacular unbeaten 47-run inning from 14 balls. However, despite putting up such a mammoth score on board, the Rajasthan bowlers were not successful in stifling the rampant Delhi batters.
