Viral Instagram footage showed Suhana and Ananya walking out of the stadium in low spirits famished of celebrations after the match. After winning the toss, MI's captain Hardik Pandya had watched his bowlers, led by Ashwani Kumar (4/24), absolutely demolish KKR for just 116 runs in 16.2 overs while opting first to field. The top order failed to convert some good starts, as Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 26, Manish Pandey 19, Rinku Singh 17, and Ramandeep Singh 22, leading to a massive batting collapse. On the other hand, Mumbai cruised toward victory in 12.5 overs, thus boosting their net run rate. "I thought it was a collective batting failure. It was a good wicket to bat on. Absolutely we expect that at Wankhede, it has very good bounce. Sometimes you have to use the pace of this wicket, couldn't do much with the ball. The bowlers tried their best but the score wasn't enough. We kept losing wickets, four wickets in the powerplay and it was difficult to consolidate from there. It just didn't go our way tonight." Looking ahead, KKR will be hoping to come good against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH)-after all, it is their home ground at Eden Gardens on Thursday, April 3.
