After securing a much-needed victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has decided to take a well-deserved break in the Maldives before their next challenge in the tournament. The win, which came by five wickets, was crucial for SRH’s hopes of staying alive in the race for the IPL 2025 playoffs. SRH pulled off a thrilling win at Chepauk Stadium recently. After restricting CSK to a total of just 154 runs, SRH chased down the target with ease, securing the win in the 19th over. Harshal Patel's four-wicket haul set up the chase, while Ishan Kishan's cameo, along with Nitish Kumar Reddy's and Kamindu Mendis' late surge, helped the team to win against the five-time champions. With only three wins from nine matches, they must win every remaining game to have a chance at making the IPL 2025 playoffs. The team has five games left, two at home and three away. Their home games will be against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, while their away fixtures will be against Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Lucknow Super Giants. To make it to the playoffs, SRH will rely heavily on their opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to deliver big performances with the bat.
