Ajinkya Rahane, Deepak Chahar, Mitchell Santhner, Daryl Mitchell and Maheesh Theekshana will go under the hammer in the auction, but the player on which the Chennai based franchise would like to use their only RTM will be Rachin Ravindra. This means they have one right-to-match card (RTM) card left for the forthcoming auction. Star players like Shami and Miller will enter the mega auction. With GT retaining two uncapped players, their chances to use RTM on uncapped player is nil, which means, players like Abhinav Manohar, Kartik Tyagi, Sai Kishore, Mohit Sharma they won't be bought using the card. However, they can retain Kane Williamson and Omarzai can be brought back using the RTM. Right-to-Match (RTM) Card Left: 1 (capped) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana (uncapped), Varun Chakravarthy and the all-rounder Andre Russell. However, Shreyas Iyer, who led the side to the 2024 title is not retained. Earlier, the speculations were made that Russell will be tested with the RTM, but the franchise have denied the reports and made it clear that they are retaining Andre Russell. The likes of capped players Mitchell Starc, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, Manish Pandey and Srikar Bharat has been left along with the uncapped stars such as Suyash Sharma, Anukul Roy and Vaibhav Arora. Right-to-Match (RTM) Card Left: 0 Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Lucknow Super Giants retains Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, besides uncapped players Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni. KL Rahul is not be retained for IPL 2025. He was the skipper of the franchise since the 2022 season, but now has parted ways due to personal and professional reasons. They might bring back one of Marcus Stoinis or Krunal Pandya using RTM in the mega auction. Quinton de Kock, Naveen-ul-Haq, Kyle Mayers are expected to play for some other franchise as the only RTM left will probably be used on Marcus Stoinis or Krunal Pandya. Other uncapped players like Yash Thakur and Yudhvur Singh Charak will also have a good bid in the auction as they have shown a decent performance in the previous season. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai Indians has got the equal amount of INR 16.35 crore, while Rohit Sharma has earned 16.3 crores. Tilak Varma has been retained as the 5th capped player and he has been give INR 4 crores.
