The playoffs chase for IPL 2025 is heating up. All the teams are still in contention, but they have to win important games and enhance their Net Run Rate (NRR) as well. Current table toppers Gujarat Titans are followed closely by teams such as DC, RCB, and PBKS. At the lower half of the table are heavyweights such as CSK, RR, and SRH, who are now eliminated from the playoffs race. With two to three games remaining for most teams, the next few days will be decisive. Teams with a better NRR like GT, PBKS, MI, and RCB are in a better place, and others require huge victories to remain in the playoff hunt. They require just one more win from three matches to qualify for the playoffs. Their opponents for the remaining matches are SRH and LSG. They are almost in the playoffs, and a single win in the next two match will ensure their spot in top two. They need to win just one match out of the remaining two to achieve 16 points and confirm a spot in playoffs. The next matches of MI are against PBKS, and DC. Four teams have already reached or crossed 14 points and that too with a better NRR than KKR. Hence, the defending champions bows out of the playoffs race. They are at seven points now and they could only reach 13 points at max even if they win their next three matches. Four teams have already reached or surpassed 14 points and hence, there is no way SRH could qualify for the playoffs. Even if they win their next two matches, they could only reach at 10 points which will not be enough to qualify for the playoffs. RR will face PBKS and CSK in their remaining two matches. They are at the bottom of the table with three wins in 11 matches and even if they manage to win their next two matches, they could only reach at 10 points which will not be enough for the qualification. They will play RR and GT in their coming matches and they will hope to end the season on high by winning their remaining games.
