The weather bureau has also forecasted thunderstorms and gale winds in certain pockets of West Bengal from March 20 to March 22. An orange warning has been sounded for a prospect of rain on the match day. Rain has already affected the practice sessions of KKR and RCB a day before the opening game. KKR's intra-squad matches were also impacted because of inclement weather. If the rain persists, it may affect the opening ceremony and the match.
