Kolkata Knight Riders have named Madhya Pradesh spinner Shivam Shukla as a replacement for West Indies all-rounder Rovman Powell for the remainder of their IPL 2025 campaign. Powell, who featured in just two matches this season, scored only five runs at a strike rate of 100. However, Shukla’s addition will be a short-term move. With KKR already knocked out of the playoff race, the 29-year-old spinner is expected to be with the team for just one game, their final league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 25 in New Delhi.
