The Indian Premier League has released new player retention policies for the IPL 2025 mega auction to be conducted later this year. IPL teams can retain as many as six players on their respective rosters for the 2025 season. The right-to-match (RTM) option is also back for the mega auction. In addition, the auction budget has been hiked to INR 20 crore more, hence the total auction size will be INR 120 crore. The uncapped rule allows Indian players who haven't played an international game in five years to be classified and kept as 'uncapped players'. This rule allows Indian Premier League teams to purchase even retired Indians as 'uncapped players' if they haven't played international cricket in the last five years. This creates a chance to bring back some stars into the IPL. Here's a list of uncapped players, including both retired and young talents. His ability to take very important wickets at crucial times makes him a valuable player in the auction. Piyush played some important matches for Mumbai Indians and so far in IPL, he took 192 wickets in 192 matches. Karn Sharma Image Source- mykhel Karn is a left-arm spinner with a lot of experience. He can change the game by using sharp spinning ball on spin-friendly pitches. He may give strength to the spin bowling of his team. Karn has played only 83 IPL matches, in which he took 76 wickets.
