Former Pakistani cricketer Inzamam Ul Haq has requested the Indians to visit Pakistan during the Champions Trophy 2025, assuring that Indians will be taken good care of by the Pakistanis. Amidst the geopolitical conflicts between the two countries, India has decided to step out of the tournament. They have issued an official mail to the International Cricket Council, which was later forwarded to the PCB. Even though Pakistan traveled to India during the 2023 ODI World Cup, but India visited Pakistan in the 2012-13 bilateral series, earlier participated in the 2008 Asia Cup, hosted by Pakistan. To PTI, he stated, “They are depriving cricket of such a big occasion. There is no threat to the Indian team in Pakistan. In fact, they would get the best hospitality here." Former Test batter, Mohsin Khan too, advocated to keep sports aloof from politics. He noted, “I mean does the Indian government really believe there is any threat to their team in Pakistan? But I would advise on remaining calm before making any decision.”
