When nothing goes as planned and hope seems to be getting vanished, often people turn to god to seek blessings for good wishes. This is exactly what happened to the Indian National Women’s Cricket Team, where Harmanpreet Kaur and the team were seen seeking blessings at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain for their remaining matches in the ongoing Women’s World Cup 2025. On Tuesday Morning, October 15, Harmanpreet Kaur, along with other women’s cricketers, was present at the temple ahead of their high-stakes match against England Women on Sunday. This is not the first time that cricketers sought blessings in Ujjain; many Indian greats, including Virat Kohli, have previously attended the Bhasma Arti in the past. The Women’s cricket team players attended the arti and prayed in Nandi Hall and sought good wishes to bring back their luck for the remaining matches in the marquee event. Harmanpreet Kaur-led side lost their previous two matches against South Africa and Australia and faces a tough situation for the upcoming matches. They are currently sitting at fourth with two wins in their four games with a net run-rate of +0.682. India has been decent with their batting in the tournament, but their bowling has failed to rise up to the expectations. While Renuka Singh Thakur has played just one game so far, the inexperienced pace bowling duo of Kranti Goud and Amanjot Kaur need to push harder in the upcoming matches. India Women will face England on Sunday, October 19, in a high-intensity clash at Holkar Stadium in Indore. A victory here will keep their hopes alive for the knockouts, but a defeat will make their route tough ahead.
