India is going to clash with the mighty Australians for the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. This is going to be a thrilling series, for sure. For this big series, the BCCI announced the Indian squad, in which they have picked a very balanced side. Rohit Sharma is the skipper of the team, alongside Jasprit Bumrah as the vice captain of the team. India has also picked some new faces for the big series. Seasoned domestic opener Abhimanyu Easwaran is also picked in the squad, and he might be the opener for the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma due to some personal reasons. Four fast bowlers have been picked for the Australian conditions. Three spinners have been named into the squad, in which Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin are the two front-line spinners. They will be helped by Washington Sundar, who has just performed really well against New Zealand. Senior bowlers like Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav are not in the squad, brilliant allrounder Axar Patel is absent from the team. The BCCI declared that Kuldeep is suffering from a chronic left groin problem and will report to the brand-new BCCI Centre of Excellence after the Pune Test. This series is going to be really tough for the Indian team because the opposition is also really balanced and in form. But India has proved their power in those conditions from the last two series; this time also they will be looking to repeat the same.
