BCCI have announced a revamped ODI squad for the upcoming women’s tri-series in Sri Lanka, where they will also face South Africa, starting from April 27. The series, which will serve as a preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup, will see a few debutants as the BCCI handed out maiden call-ups to Kashvee Gautam, N Shree Charani, and Shuchi Upadhyay. Kashvee Gautam and Shree Charani have been impressive in the recently concluded Women's Premier League, while Shuchi Upadhyay has been a consistent performer in the Indian domestic season this year. Harmanpreet Kaur returns to lead the side after missing the previous series against Ireland earlier this year. Several senior players are also back in the mix, including Sneh Rana, Yastika Bhatia, Arundhati Reddy, and Amanjot Kaur. Meanwhile, the fast-bowling trio of Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, and Titas Sadhu were not considered due to injuries. She also notched up 304 runs from nine innings with a strike rate of 152.76 in the recent WPL. Despite all these, Verma could not find a place in the ODI line-up.
