Shafali unleashed her signature aggression, hitting boundaries and sixes that completely threw Sri Lanka off their game. Smriti Mandhana got out early, and Jemimah Rodrigues took some time to settle, but Shafali continued her attack and never let the bowlers take control. Sri Lanka attempted to mix things up by rotating their bowlers and bringing in some younger players, but they just couldn’t find a solution.
