After a long drama regarding India's participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy, it is finally official that India won't travel to the host country for participation. BCCI has informed ICC that BCCI is not willing to let the team travel to Pakistan for the tournament. Earlier, a few media reports claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board had agreed to the hybrid model where India would have played in UAE. But Pakistan stood firm with their decision, also expressing disappointment regarding India's silent stance on participation. A PCB spokesperson told the Hindustan Times that PCB has forwarded the ICC's official mail regarding India's non-participation to the government. The spokesperson stated, "The PCB has received an email from the ICC, stating that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB has forwarded that email to the Government of Pakistan for their advice and guidance." Schedule yet to be finalized On the other hand, India Today, on approaching a source from ICC, got to know that the schedule of the CHampions Trophy is not confirmed. The source said, "The schedule is not confirmed, we are still in discussions and dialogue with the host and participating nations on the Champions Trophy schedule, once confirmed we will announce through our normal channels.'
