India will face Pakistan in their first match of the 2024 Men's 50-over U19 Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium on November 30. The ACC has announced the schedule for the tournament starting from November 29 and going through to December 8 at venues across Dubai and Sharjah. Other Group A matches India will play are matches against Japan and the UAE, which are both played at Sharjah on the 2nd Dec and 4th Dec. The two best teams from groups A and B will proceed to the semi-finals, which have been scheduled for 6th Dec in Dubai and Sharjah. The final of the tournament will be held on 8th Dec in Dubai. Group B comprises the defending champions Bangladesh along with Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal. The 2024 U19 Asia Cup begins on 29th November with Bangladesh against Afghanistan, while Sri Lanka will begin their campaign against Nepal on the same day. Japan, Nepal, and UAE qualified to the event having progressed at the 2023 ACC Men's Under-19 Premier Cup. Bangladesh goes into this tournament as champions of 2023, after a crushing 195-run loss inflicted on UAE in the final. India has taken the title eight times. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and defending champions Bangladesh also each have their sole triumphs. This year's tournament will be the third in succession to be played in the UAE where India won the last title in 2021. In preparation for the Asia Cup, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and UAE will play an U19 tri-series starting from November 16 to 26 before they board into the Asia Cup.
