The Indian cricket team squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the T20I series against New Zealand in January was announced on Saturday at the BCCI office in Mumbai by captain Suryakumar Yadav and chief selector Ajit Agarkar. India is placed in Group A with Namibia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, and the United States. The team will start its World Cup campaign on February 7 in Mumbai against the USA. The squad, which was to be announced at 01:30 PM IST saw a delay of about 35 minutes as Suryakumar Yadav, who was in Ahmedabad, landed late in Mumbai for the meeting.
