India women scored 435 runs against Ireland in the third ODI at Rajkot, their highest-ever ODI total. Also, India became the third team after Australia and New Zealand to surpass 400 runs in ODI cricket. Indian openers Pratika Rawal and the stand-in captain Smriti Mandhan put up a 233-run opening partnership, depending on which India scored a massive total. Earlier, in the second ODI, India posted 370 runs on the board, which is now India's second-highest total. India's total of 435 is now the fourth-highest score in women's ODI history. The record for the highest total is held by New Zealand, who amassed 491 for 4 against Ireland in Dublin in 2018. This remarkable effort by the Indian women also surpassed the Indian men's ODI record of 418 runs, achieved against the West Indies in 2011. Pratika Rawal, a 24-year-old psychology student from Delhi, shone brightly in just her second series for India.
