The BCCI has announced India's men's Test squad for the upcoming five-match series against England, set to begin on June 20. The tour marks the start of the new ICC World Test Championship cycle (2025–27) and India’s first red-ball assignment since the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from Test cricket. The squad announcement comes at a time when India are looking to rebuild their Test core, especially in the absence of two of their most experienced batters. The five-match Test series will be crucial for India’s next generation, both in leadership and squad depth, as they begin their campaign for the 2025–27 cycle.
